Advocacy through transparency, collaboration and action.
The Australian Council on Smoking and Health (ACOSH) is Australia’s leading tobacco control advocacy organisation with a proud 60-year history. We are an independent coalition of health, education, community, social service, and research organisations from across the country.
Our goal is an Australia free from tobacco and nicotine addiction. We work with governments and communities to drive meaningful change through policies and regulations that reduce smoking and vaping plus protect against the harmful effects of other novel nicotine products.
Our advocacy priorities align with the WA Health Promotion Strategic Framework and the National Tobacco Strategy 2023 – 2030. Grounded in evidence and best practice, ACOSH translates tobacco and nicotine research and policy into strategic communications.
